The Setup and Getting Ready

It all began very comfortably in town, which, basically, is the spot where you meet the crew, where things get started. The staff, actually super cheerful, get you kitted out in your gear— that is a harness, a helmet, that sort of safety equipment. Very reassuring, actually. Then, basically, there is this brief, rather important safety talk, basically going over how everything actually works, and after that, there is a scenic shuttle trip up to the top of Bob’s Peak, just a bit away. It offers just a small glimpse of what is about to come.

Zipping Through the Trees: The Lines

Okay, actually this is it, you know, the ziplines themselves. So there are four of them, with each slightly longer, slightly faster than the one just before it. What begins very calmly with a small rush transforms, arguably, into an experience filled with the wind, very beautiful forests beneath you, with the remarkable sight of Lake Wakatipu kind of in the not so far off distance. That view just gets more captivating as you zip further along, as I was saying, and that totally amps up the fun, really.

Line One: The Opener

The first line, you see, it’s a very great way to get the feeling for things, because it really introduces you very carefully to that sensation of flying. Arguably a good “ice-breaker” if you happen to be nervous. It’s not especially fast or too lengthy, or anything, that way, more or less allowing you that little chance to drink in the surroundings while just hanging from up there. So the initial view of the forest as you move along it is cool too, honestly.

Lines Two and Three: Upping the Fun

Lines two and three basically, you know, provide a bit of that boost. Just a little bit faster, also a little longer, just the place where things actually start to feel just a touch more thrilling. These actually give just slightly better, pretty expanded perspectives of the mountain area, too it’s almost the area looks grand. So by this stage, honestly, most people, that does include I myself, actually feel relaxed and we are basically enjoying that freedom. So that feeling of gliding without actually needing to work too hard for it.

Line Four: The Grand Finale

Okay, so line four, yes, arguably the biggest one, easily, the main event, truly giving you that ultimate zip. Very longer, noticeably faster than anything else on that particular trip up to this point. As a matter of fact the view from this point, as I was saying, so expansive, and that feeling of the wind rushing against you, so incredible and very thrilling, is totally something to fully experience, actually. Arguably the sensation is liberating, really offering that just perfect exclamation mark on your own experience of the zipline. So I liked that just a bit.

The Crew and Their Expertise

Actually, that friendly, super knowledgeable team, that did actually make or break it, that whole experience a great time. Very helpful, fully professional, ensuring everything remains super safe while basically keeping that experience light and so very fun. Very clearly experienced in their respective fields, that, so their little pep talks, along with so many assurances, those did really take that anxiety away. Also their own little local knowledge tidbits that they sprinkle across their interactions are also cool, really, adding something nice to your whole time there. Very excellent.

Who Would Dig This?

Very adventurous families, individual travelers looking to add something active, possibly to their plans, anyone so craving an actually controlled, exciting outdoors thing should basically have a blast on this. If so those looking for crazy high-intensity thrill rides, basically like, skydiving and very crazy fast rides may discover it only somewhat exciting enough for themselves. Yet, as a matter of fact, the zip lining can make for such just perfect, safer option to test those individual comfort levels for them.

Some Good Points To Keep In Your Mind:

  • So, actually, do dress very accordingly. Because the weather at Queenstown is likely going to transform fast. A little bit of those extra layers ensures staying comfortable. Basically during the whole adventure.
  • Those hands-free cameras (pretty much like a GoPro), can totally make just amazing souvenirs.
  • If you are somewhat anxious with that height factor, say so to staff! It looks like they, that way, offer that reassurance along with encouragement needed in order to completely experience.

Is it worth it?

Absolutely! Now for almost two solid hours just soaring among nature with this birds eye view over the Queenstown surroundings, I find so hard in just thinking this whole event couldn’t totally bring about a few long lasting, very positive, good natured thoughts to any vacation! But if what you wanted out of your holiday was some memorable good times when in town I do, honestly, and seriously recommend this particular trip!. So yes, so very worth it, and go do it!
