First Stop: The Iconic Taj Mahal
As a matter of fact the Taj Mahal, like, it is on everyone’s list, as a matter of fact for good reason, is that its marble architecture that shines, I mean the light makes for very incredible scenes, as I was saying the tour really made things easier when it came to things like getting tickets and getting in, in short our guide, he told us the love story of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal, right and very learning about that story added so much more to the visit, usually it got a bit crowded, by the way especially around the main spots for taking pictures, now our guide, as a matter of fact he knew where to go, he showed us like the great places away from those heavy crowds, I mean places we could actually enjoy, literally, and take nice pictures too, naturally make sure you bring sunglasses, right and also some comfy shoes, by the way you will be doing a lot of walking.
Exploring Agra Fort: History Comes Alive
For example next up was Agra Fort, anyway it is not very far from the Taj, that and it shows a big change from delicate marble to powerful red sandstone, actually stepping inside is kind of going back into the Mughal era, by the way our guide, well he really helped us picture how emperors once lived here, and literally with some interesting stories, first he showed us Diwan-i-Aam, now this is where the emperor met all sorts of people, and then the Diwan-i-Khas, you know, this is more private and super fancy, anyway one cool part was seeing the Taj Mahal from up high within the fort, so the view that is unique and really beautiful, right and as a matter of fact it is something that made me very happy that I decided to come on this tour.
A Visit to Itmad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb (Baby Taj)
Like next on our visit was to the Tomb of I’timād-ud-Daulah, I mean they sometimes call it “Baby Taj,” like for very good reason, in that the intricate marble work is very amazing, first here, more or less you escape the larger crowds from the Taj Mahal, well and can experience peacefulness, actually the detail work in this tomb, well its amazing, for instance with carvings and inlays that showed very advanced artwork back then, right the guide basically took his time explaining to me the history, you know, which helped me feel closer to it all, literally this was definitely a very relaxing and pretty spot, too its nice after visiting all the big touristy places.

The Convenience of a Car and a Guide
Now the car really made things easier, well you avoid arguing with taxi drivers, that and wasting energy by getting hot when walking from site to site, I mean between destinations, clearly our driver was cool and calm, as a matter of fact and always showed up exactly where and when he said he would, more or less the guide service changed everything, and they know like the hidden things, first they can help you avoid the usual tourist traps, now they tell stories to help those amazing structures come to life, now the flexibility to just be spontaneous really made our experience, arguably they took the hassle out of it, very allowing you, right and I really, to just relax, I mean, and enjoy my exploration, now isn’t that great?
What Could Be Better
More or less a couple of things to think about: the tour, you know it does not include lunch, that is you will be in charge of finding a spot and paying for lunch, honestly so that is cool if you are excited to explore eating the area’s meals, still plan for it, also clearly there can be some shops where they will want to pull you in, seriously the tour company usually gets commission, of course, as a matter of fact so very be firm, now that is if you aren’t really excited to shop, clearly that just saves everyone time, still it would be awesome if the tour offered more, well flexible start times, seriously that would help if you are dealing with all kinds of time zone issues.
